Dear Ewing’s Sarcoma Colleague:
We are writing to invite you to join with other Ewing’s Sarcomas colleagues from throughout the United States with the ultimate goal of formalizing the creation of a Ewing’s Sarcoma Alliance. There is no better time than NOW to start a movement for success!
Together, we represent thousands of voices that, when joined together, can make a tremendous impact on the overall awareness for EWS and all pediatric cancers. Working as an organized Alliance, we can be instrumental in raising awareness, advocating for support, educating the public and assisting in the campaign to raise that one additional dollar that will hopefully find the cause and the cure for Ewing’s Sarcoma, this horrific disease that is affecting and taking the lives of our children and young adults.
In order to reach the mainstream of America and capture their imagination and passion, we feel compelled to organize a collaborative effort that will tell our stories, individually and as a group, with the goal of actively engaging the American community to become involved in our campaign to end Ewing’s Sarcoma.
There has never been a time when we, in the health and human service sector, have had all of the resources necessary to fully meet the needs of those that we serve. It can be different if we come together, as one group, and speak loudly and clearly to the community in whose name we do this incredibly important work. We need to organize NOW to create a single, unified voice, and we are asking you to become involved with this new Alliance with the goal of making our message heard in the days ahead.
We are planning a meeting of all Ewing’s Sarcoma organizations and advocates that will take place in Miami on November 4, 2009. We are hopeful that you might consider attendance at this very special event with the goal of helping us to organize this new Alliance that will work as one to combat Ewing’s Sarcoma.
If you are interested in participating with this new Ewing’s Sarcoma Alliance and/or attending our kick off meeting November 4, please return the enclosed interest survey as instructed and we will forward all information to you. Your support in assisting with the formation of this Alliance will be the key to our ultimate success!
